Hacker cause Netflix site down?

Yesterday, the website of Netflix.com was down for a while. Netflix is a popular online video service company. There is some prediction that the trouble caused by hacker.

Neftlix site carried a message when it went down about at 8.30 Eastern Time. They wrote “We are sorry, the Netflix website and the ability to instantly watch movies are both temporarily unavailable.”

“Our engineers are working hard to bring the site and ability to watch instantly back up as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and, again we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Gigaom’s wrote that for past hour or so, I have been trying to access the service but I have been unable to watch it on my iPad or on my Apple TV. It is about 8.40 PST.

There are many people complain to Netflix at Twitter, such as “I can’t access Netflix. I’m not… I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do now? Panic is setting in, it’s father’s day and Netflix isn’t working, and also @netflix , thx a lot for taking my money and giving nothing.” “#netflix is down. Now the question is not how long until it is back up, but how long until users/pw database is posted.”

After unidentified trouble, Netflix.com is able again after 4 hour around 12.30 Eastern Time.
