Jesse Jackson Jr.: iPad Kill Jobs in America

“iPad is probably responsible for eliminating thousands of American jobs,” Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) said on Friday regarding the United States’ unemployment crisis.

“Why do you need to go to the borders anymore? Why do you need to go to Barnes and Noble? Just buy an iPad and download your book, download your newspaper, download your magazine,” he adds.

Concern for the existence of publishing companies and publishing company jobs in America was also stated by the Congressman. He thinks that in not-to-far future, such jobs could no longer exist.

Chicago State University’s initiative to replace books with iPad does not escape his attention as he stated that the goal of the mentioned university was to create a textbookless campus. Not to mention the issue that the iPads were actually produced in China, not in the United States, which in turn provide no protection for jobs in America and ensuring that American people are put to work.

One thing he forgot to consider while mentioning these sins of the iPad, was the fact that he is an iPad owner as well. LOL
